Why the Bird? The Story Behind Our Coastal Club Collection

If you’ve spent time on the North Cornwall coast, you may already know that many of its coves and bays hold secrets in their names. Booby’s Bay, just a short walk from Constantine and the fairways of Trevose Golf Club, is one of them. It takes its name from the booby bird — a striking seabird that has, on occasion, been sighted nesting along this rugged stretch of coastline.

The booby is no ordinary bird. Travelling thousands of miles from the Galápagos Islands, these seabirds are famed for their brilliant orange or blue feet, and in some species, their shimmering, almost iridescent beaks. Playful, curious, and full of character, the bird felt like the perfect emblem for our new collection.
